2025 Kia Carnival second row seats

Passenger Talk is a feature on the Kia Carnival that is a gamechanger for families. It allows the driver or front-row passenger to easily communicate with the second and third row. Instead of trying to yell so that everyone hears you, or unsafely turning around in your seat, you can project your voice to rows behind you. Jeff Belzer’s Kia is excited to show you how this feature works.

How Does Passenger Talk Work?

Passenger Talk works like a simple intercom set-up. When enabled, the driver can speak at a normal volume and have their voice projected through the speakers in both the second and third row. However, one thing to note is that this is not a two-way system. This means that passengers are not able to speak and have their voice projected to the first row. Depending on who you ask, this is both a benefit and a downside of this feature.

Enabling/Disabling Passenger Talk

To turn on the Passenger Talk feature, you first must navigate to your home screen on your Kia Carnival. This should be a split screen with the map on the left side and the music and other settings on the right. Then, drag down on the top of the screen with your finger to reveal additional settings. Passenger Talk should be on the right-hand side. All you have to do is click the icon of the person speaking, and a blue light should appear in the icon, indicating that Passenger Talk is enabled.

To turn the volume up or down on your Passenger Talk, you can use the slider to the right of that icon to make your voice louder or softer in the back rows. Slide it to the left to make it quieter, and slide to the right to make it louder. When you’re done speaking to your back-seat passengers, all you do is tap the icon marked blue, and it will turn gray so that you know Passenger Talk is turned off.

This is a great feature that Kia has added to the Carnival and other vehicles in its lineup. Knowing that it is a family vehicle, it only makes sense to have custom features that specifically benefit families.
